LMaD: Christopher (dressed as a Blackjack dealer) & Sarah (dressed as a belly dancer) are the first dealers of the day. They get to choose from either a bankroll with a $100 bill on the outside or one of the three curtains. They choose Curtain #1...and they've won the Nissan Versa Sedan worth $11,830! But let's check out everything else to see if they could done even better:
Bankroll: $1,500
Curtain #2: Hyundai Elantra ($14,865)
Curtain #3: KIA Forte ($16,690)
Carolyn & Elizabeth weren't supposed to play together in Deal #2, but because they're attached to each other, that's the way the cookie is going to crumble here. They're about to hear this entry of Wayne's Diary from Jonathan Mangum:
Dear Diary: Here are three things I learned today:
#1- Never tickle a sleeping monkey unless you are ready to fight.
#2- Civil War reenactments are way more fun when you're not alone.
#3- The other thing I learned today was I didn't know you could fit such a large rock inside the small box.
Only Carolyn will get to make the decision, and she's offered $500 & $700, but she's staying with the box...and inside is a 18 karat white gold topaz & diamond ring worth $1,922. But Tiffany Coyne brings out Jonathan's Diary and Wayne Brady reads the following:
Dear Diary: Today, I shaved it for the first time. Sometimes, it's horrible being a huge manchild; I wear T-shirts that are way too small for me. My wife can't seem to understand my stunted persona that I like to call "Little Johnny Jim-John". One thing I did learn today while I was commuting with Little Johnny Jim-John- P.S., commuting is a pretty big word for a guy who says Little Johnny Jim-John; inside the big box was something I could look at for hours.
Carolyn quickly forfeits this for $700...a $4,300 home entertainment center that included an ultra-slim Toshiba 55" LED HDTV and a Blu-Ray Disc player.
Another Jonathan (dressed as a banana) is presented an iPad ($499) by Tiffany to start Deal #3 off. He keeps it and passes Curtain #2 to Sophia (dressed as a baby), but she wants $700 instead of what's back there...a ZONKflo 9000 14 billion-volt hairdryer! To be continued...
Let's move on to Lisa (dressed as a rose), who's about to try and make Tic-Tac-Deal for a trip to the Marquis Los Cabos in Cabo San Lucas worth $6,042 (Curtain #1). She picks Envelopes #4, #7, #2 & #1.
1. #4- X
2. #7- O
The Sure Thing Jackpot at Curtain #3 begins by showing off an Atmosphere Interiors Ovation dining set worth $3,171.
3. #2- X
After $400 is added to the STJ...she still wants to go to Cabo.
FINAL ENVELOPE: #1- O
The last X was in #6.
Next is the Auction Deal, and participating in this are Iris & Jose.
Round 1 (Big box):
Sold to: Iris for $300 ($200)
PRIZE: Beauty product collection ($2,054)
Round 2 (Red small box):
Sold to: Iris for her remaining $200
PRIZE: Louis Vuitton Red designer handbag ($895)
Round 3 (Green small box):
Sold to: Jose for $50 ($450)
PRIZE: Sony VAIO laptop & Olympus digital camera ($1,830)
Afterwards, either one could take The Big Risk on Curtain #1, and Iris does...but she'll have to listen to a ZONK garage band, losing $2,949 in merchandise in the process while Jose still has $2,280 in cash & prizes up to now.
As we put Jonathan #2 back on the spot, he also wants the curtain...the new things behind that are a Yamaha Wolverine 350 ATV, two mountain bikes and a pair of helmets, all worth $5,709- PERFECT DEAL! The iPad bonus was just $230 cash. Surprisingly, he does NOT go for a Big Deal of the Day immediately after this deal concludes.
THE BIG DEAL: Who do go for a $23,570 package are Carolyn & Elizabeth. Carolyn's final pick of the day is Door #3. Door #1 had a check for $6,171 inside the Bank Vault...and they do NOT have the BD either, leaving with a $1,941 washer/dryer package that includes a year's supply of Seventh Generation detergent. As it turns out, the BD wasn't the Jeep Wrangler/surfboards package...it was actually a stay at the Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii plus a Jacuzzi.
Episode #2:
A fake CD titled "Jonathan's Indonesian Bird Calls" goes to Kourtney (dressed as a ballerina girl), although it does NOT contain a trip to said country; rather, it has some money inside. She passes it to Alison (dressed as a red flapper) for Curtain...but a ZONK string quartet ELIMINATES her. Tiffany secondly brings out the non-Indonesian version of the same CD (which also has some cash in there), but it's passed on to Robert (dressed as a Disco dude) because Alison's trading for the big box...but she gets a DUD DJ booth, so she's OUT, too. The last item up for consideration is in at least the silver small box (Tiffany), and Robert's adding to his potential money CD collection a copy of Wayne Brady's self-titled disc. We can tell you that inside the first CD is $120 and the second one has $280. He's going for the rest of the dough...and on the last CD is $3,800, for a final cash total of $4,200! Left in the last box of this deal was...a $1,300 Sony VAIO laptop.
In Deal #2, Janice (allegedly dressed as Jill) plays the one-die version of Movin' On Up for some money and/or the KIA Rio (Curtain #1).
1. #2- $100
2. #1- QUADRUPLE
3. #3- $500 ($900); GOES ON
4. #4
As a consolation prize, she'll receive $50 per point on her last roll...and she rolls a one.
Michael then checks in next to play the Latitude/Longtiude Deal for a chance to go to both the Trump International Hotel in Waikiki ($5,455) & the Orchard Garden Hotel in San Francisco ($4,027). The board:
Hawaii: 21 degrees at 31' N & 157 degrees at 84' W
S.F.: 37 degrees at 77' N & 122 degrees at 41' W
He leaves it as it is and gets offered $500 & $700, but he wants both of those vacations...and he's got 'em- PERFECT DEAL! And because Landon helped him out in this deal, that helper will get a $100 bonus!
After that, twin sisters Corinne & Kali are each given a grand for doing absolutely nothing before this next deal even starts. Neither of them want what's in the small box this time at the cost of half their money (Jonathan)...a topaz & diamond ring worth $1,922. They also turn down Curtain #2...which had a stainless-steel appliance trio ($2,496). The same thing happens regarding Curtain #3...back there was a boxing match between a giant chicken & monkey!
Another team follows them- the couple of Deandra & Michael. They're going to the Gift Registry, and the three room categories are the bedroom, garage & home office. Their two choices are the bedroom and the garage. The home office stuff was in the small box (Tiffany in front of Curtain #2)...turns out- it was nothing but numerous empty printer ink cartidges! The bedroom's behind Curtain #1...and it's courtesy of Pier 1 Imports with a value of $2,703. And they're adding this, at least from the big box...his/her motorscooters (red & silver) worth $7,238! No way they're trading all that for this behind Curtain #2...the Ford Focus.
The last regulation trader is Steve (who's wearing some long, blonde hair). After hearing a sound effect from Curtain #3's next prize, his opening buyback offer is $500, but after it goes up in $100 increments, it jumps to $1,200 & $1,700 before he rejects the final offers of $1,900 & $2K...he's got himself the $8,999 spa- PERFECT DEAL!
THE BIG DEAL: Deandra & Michael throw away just under $10K in loot for possibly a second chance at a car, and this BD's valued at $25,020. They pick Door #1...and fall to $1,523 cash, making the other Michael the top winner of this particular episode.
Door #2: Trip to Marquis Los Cabos, Trophy fishing boat & fishing gear
Door #3: Gaming suite, including a Sony 42" LCD HDTV ($6,999)

WoF: Toss-Up category #1 is Food & Drink:
_ / _ _ P / O F
_ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _
Kathy's guess of A CUP OF HERBAL TEA is incorrect, because that's one too many letters.
_ / _ _ P / _ _
_ _ _ E _ / _ _ A
Liz's right on the mark for $1,000 with A CUP OF GREEN TEA. With that being taken care of, it's interview time:
Liz Morgan (Jacksonville, FL)- Internal audit associate/fisher person
Ken Walsh (Grafton, MA)- Senior data analyst/Boston sports fan
Kathy Fisher (Camarillo, CA)- Singer/songwriter
The $2,000 Toss-Up talks about a Fictional Character:
_ O N D _ R
W _ _ _ _
Kathy's correct this time out with WONDER WOMAN.
After an $8K trip to the Rancho La Puerta in Mexico from SpaFinder.com becomes available, the Advil PM Jackpot Round category is Place. She racks up $7,500 right off the bat with three S's, but after she buys four E's and two O's, she calls a dud vowel in I. Secondly, Liz calls three T's for $1,650 and a $900 R, then she buys two A's, calls two M's for another $1,800 and purchases two U's to clean out the vowels. After lighting up two C's for another $600, we have...
E U C A _ _ _ T U S -
S C E _ T E _
S T E A M / R O O M
...she solves EUCALYPTUS-SCENTED STEAM ROOM for another $4,450 and $6,450 total.
SOLE DUD: I (Kathy)
LEFT BEHIND IN JACKPOT: $10,150
The Before & After Round starts with Liz calling two N's for $1,200 and buying two E's, followed by five S's for another $1,500, two A's, but then the left Bankrupt of the Million Dollar Wedge to cost her $2,200. Second, Ken calls a B for the MDW, a $500 L & a $300 M before we see the following...
_ _ N _ E _
B _ S _ N E S S
A S / _ S _ A L
...it's NOT MONKEY BUSINESS AS USUAL for this guy, so he gets on the board with a grand and holds on to the MDW.
SOLE BANKRUPT: Liz
(Note: According to Pat Sajak, this is the first time since September 18, 1987 that two puzzles in the same episode had a word that contained at least two U's in it.)
Meineke Mystery/Prize Puzzle Round is Things. Ken starts off this round in a good way with three T's for $10.5K prior to buying one E and two A's. But he then calls the first dud consonant of the night in N to leave an even 10 grand on the table. Second, Kathy calls two S's for $7K but then her second dud vowel purchase of the evening in O immediately follows. Third, Liz hits the Mystery Wedge next to the former MDW and calls three L's before flipping it over...unfortunately, it's her second Bankrupt tonight. That allows Ken to buy three I's and...
A L L - _ A _
S _ I / L I _ T
T I _ _ E T S
...he solves ALL-DAY SKI LIFT TICKETS for the lead with another $9,750 and will be turning in those tickets at the Greek Peak Mountain Resort Hope Lake Lodge & Indoor Waterpark in Upstate New York worth $5,881, for a new total of $16,631 in cash & trip! We're that much closer to having back-to-back Million Dollar Bonus Rounds for the first time ever.
DUDS: $600 N (Ken), O (Kathy)
SOLE BANKRUPT: Liz
TONIGHT'S SPIN ID: AH0015294 (Ann H. from California)
The $3K Toss-Up topic's Around the House:
U _ B _ _ L L A
S _ _ _ _
Kathy rings in with UMBRELLA STAND...yes indeed to move to five large.
What Are You Doing? is the next category, and she calls a couple of N's for a C-note, buys three A's, calls the same number of M's for another $1,200 and she tries for a quick solve with this board...
M A _ _ N _ / A / N A M _
_ _ _ / M _ _ _ _ _
...I've been MAKING A NAME FOR MYSELF the past few years, and she nails this puzzle to add $1,950 to her total bank, which now stands at $6,950.
PERFECT ROUND
The next puzzle solution's On the Map somewhere. Liz Bankrupts between $600 & $900 on the spot; that's her third Bankrupt this evening. Ken secondly calls a dud in T. Third, Kathy puts up a $600 R but she then duds out after buying the E; that's the third and probably final time tonight she's bought a negative vowel. Back over to Liz, who calls a $450 S, buys four A's and then the big bell goes off for Last Chance Mode. The board now:
_ A S A _ _ A _ _ A
_ _ R _ _ _ _
The remaining consonants are worth...$1,350 apiece. She next makes a quartet of C's appear...
C A S A _ _ A _ C A
_ _ R _ C C _
...and she gets CASABLANCA MOROCCO for an additional $5,600 and a decent second-place cash score of $11,050! Kathy leaves with a check for $6,950 and Ken has won this match with $16,631 in cash & NY, meaning we will have BACK-TO-BACK MDBRs FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY (it's also the second time we've had more than one in a single week)!!!
So far, $34,631 in cash & vacation has been awarded tonight,
DUDS (both prior to final bell): E (Kathy), $600 T (Ken)
SOLE BANKRUPT: Liz
TONIGHT'S BANKRUPT TRASH: $5,200
MAXWELL HOUSE MILLION DOLLAR BONUS ROUND #2: Ken Walsh spins the triple star and the bonus puzzle topic this evening is Event. Starting with:
_ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ R
I know it already, and maybe he does too, because he calls P, H, D & I...
H _ P P _
H _ _ R
...despite calling the only dud vowel on this board, this will be a HAPPY HOUR for him because...
...although there is NO million bucks to be found in his landed-on envelope, he's won the new BR house minimum of $30,000, making his grand total $46,631 in cash & ski trip! And that brings the Feeding America BR Charity Bank to $167.5K!
MILLION DOLLAR LOCATION: The G
J!: These two challengers are here to try to make my prediction of Kara Spak losing her sixth game tonight come true:
Mark McDonnell (Miami, FL)- Trialathon coach/entrepreneur
Tegan Brown (originally from Harvard, MA)- MBA student
Tonight's first six categories:
PRESIDENTIAL QUOTATIONS
OPRAH'S AHA! MOMENTS (to honor the final season of "The Oprah Winfrey Show", Oprah herself will read each of these clues)
NEW ABBREV.
NOVEL HAIKU
BUSINESS BIGGIES
NUMBERS IN LATIN
Spak's using the High School Strategy right away, starting on the Oprah category...and she's off to a good start with $3,600 and the fact that she's in Lock Game Territory, whereas McDonnell's $200 in the hole; only the Oprah & Haiku categories get cleared out before the first commerical break. With seven clues to go in this round of play, Spak finds the Daily Double under the $800 New Abbreviations clue with 10 times that amount; McDonnell's now $400 in the hole and Brown's $1,800 in the red. Her wager is a grand on this clue:
Currently, she's the flotus.
"Who is Michelle Obama?"...$9K! Time runs out before we can get to the last two clues about Numbers in Latin, but with $9,800, she's VERY deep in LGT, as McDonnell's now $800 on the good side. Still, I'm not going to jump the gun on tonight's final result just yet.
ATTEMPTED LACH TRASH: $1,600
SOLE UNATTEMPTED TS OF THE ROUND: $1K (Novel Haiku)
TOTAL LACH TRASH: $2,600
The board for Double Jeopardy!:
THE LAW
THE GOOD HUMOR MAN...
ISLAND HOPPING
SEX, DRUGS & ACCOUNTING
BORN & DIED: SCIENCE EDITION
ADD A LETTER
During his fast start in the round, McDonnell finds DD #1 underneath the last Island Hopping clue with $7,200; he's five grand behind Spak for first place, while Brown's still $2,400 in debt. He's going for a tie game on the clue I'm about to reveal:
On January 10, this South Atlantic territory celebrates Margaret Thatcher Day.
"What are the Falkand Islands?"...those are RIGHT to tie this match at $12,200 apiece! And believe it or not, his next pick of the $2K Born & Died: Science Edition is the other DD! This time, he's making a clue like this one worth another $3K:
Born in Siberia in 1834, we obey this periodic law, died in 1907 in St. Petersburg.
"Who is (Dmitri) Mendeleev?"...he's the new leader at $15,200!
SOLE TS OF THE ROUND: $1,200 (The Good Human Man...)(attempted)
Scores After Double Jeopardy!:
Kara: $13,800- GAME OVER
Tegan: $800
Mark: $28K (lock game)
CORYAT SCORES:
Kara: $13,600
Tegan: $800
Mark: $24K
